Nominations in, voting soon

We received quite a few nominations this year. Many of them have been nominated before, but a goodly number were entirely new submissions. Thanks to all who submitted entries or who spread word of the Awards this year. Due to upcoming events (namely Holy Week and Bright Week), voting will begin April 23rd. As nominations have continued to come in even after the initial April 1st date we will continue to accept them until voting begins. A fruitful Lent and blessed Pascha to you all!

2010 Winners

Here are the winners of the 2010 Eastern Christian New Media Awards! The voting numbers were again quite a jump from the preceding year - a trend we are happy to see. Thanks again to all for making this such a success. Please take the time to visit these sites as well as those of the nominees. A complete nominees list will be made available shortly.

To those that won, your banners will be available in email this week. In addition, as promised this year the winners will be given prizes. More will be said about that next week as gift options are being finalized.

Thanks to the hundreds of people who took the time to nominate their favorite blog, podcast, or forum. Every year we get more submissions and the fields continue to expand. In the next few days the nominations will be reviewed, the voting system will be populated with candidates, and then the voting process will start. Now entering the final week of nominations

This is the final week to nominate your favorite site, forum, or podcast. Some nominees have received numerous (in one case over a hundred) nominations. Thanks in part to the new Facebook page we've had quite a good turnout. If you have a blog, please take a moment to mention the Awards. The primary goal of this effort is to bring a higher profile to the Eastern Churches and spotlight those sites that do so effectively. Though, I'm told, the prizes are also appreciated.

Please remember to come back in November to vote!
