I'm so glad you did this! I'm loving going through all the submissions and reading blogs I didn't know about before.
I might do a post featuring some of new favs.
Good work!
just an fyi-the link to ByzTex in the Individual category needs to be fixed.
Thanks for the visit, the votes, and the correction. I fixed the link. Hopefully this will bring more attention to these worthy blogs.
Not sure if it matters, but the first 3 blogs listed under theology are all Catholic:

One is a Byzantine Catholic monastery connected to the Romanian Church, one is a Latin nun who discusses the Greek Fathers a lot, and one is a Russian Catholic (if memory serves).
Of the three, the only one that should raise an eyebrow is the Roman sister, but we received more than one nomination for her so decided to be inclusive.
Thanks for voting. Please spread the word.
In response to the last post, I take it that these awards are not limited to Eastern Orthodox blogs. I myself have noticed that two of the three blogs in the "Most Visually Attractive" category are Byzantine Catholic as well.
Indeed. It's worth noting that the people running the awards did not put anyone up for nomination and only used external submissions, so that what you see is what was nominated.
Since voting started we are still getting nominations that will be queued for next year (you can't change the polls once voting has begun). The hope is that each year will have an ever larger field of candidates.
Here are the guidelines as posted on the website:
"The awards are open to all Eastern Christian blogs regardless of affiliation. Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Eastern Catholic, Assyrian Church of the East et al. are welcome and encouraged to be submitted for voting."
